If you’re from Shropshire, you’ll be aware of the – ahem – friendly rivalry between Shrewsbury and Telford. But are the two towns really so different? We decided to find out. Using the Google AdWords keyword tool it is possible to find out which phrases related to the two towns are searched for most frequently on Google. What phrases do Shrewsbury people search for and how are those different to the searches of Telford people? Let’s find out! We’ll be posting, every day this week, on a different topic and looking about how the people of Telford and Shrewsbury differ – and where they don’t.
Why are we doing this?
We think that keyword research is a really underused tool – businesses use it to find out what people are searching for on Google so that they can optimise their website or run pay per click advertisements (that’s one of the key Services that Ascendancy provides). But we think that people should really be doing keyword research before they even start their business – or maybe even before they decide which town they should live in! Keyword data is a mine of information and we’re going to demonstrate that through these posts. Keep coming back each day to read the next instalment!
