Back in February, we were delighted to be invited by Google to co-host and present at an event put on especially for 16 of our clients and prospects at Google’s Manchester offices. Tim, a Google AdWords product specialist, presented on the advantages of working with a Badged Google Partner such as Ascendancy.
Google Partners that have been awarded the badge are agencies that have been recognised by Google as trusted partners because they meet certain best practice standards, have passed various exams, and managed a certain level of Google AdWords spend over a period of time. Currently only 3% of agencies (786 in total) have obtained the badge.
Anas from Google, our agency account strategist, then delivered a presentation on ‘Capturing the Moments that Matter‘ – delivering the right message to the right potential customer at the right time, across multiple devices.
The Google presentations very much reinforced the message that we’re now living in a multi-device world, where customers will no longer just be accessing the web on their desktop PC, but also across mobile, tablet and other devices – and often they’ll be using multiple devices simultaneously. Google’s research shows that 63% of people watch TV and surf the web at the same time.
Lastly, our very own Helen gave her top tips for AdWords success. Want to know what they are? Google have told us that we’ll have the opportunity to hold another event like this one very soon, so drop Helen an email and we’ll put you on the invite list.
If you’re in the South of the country, don’t be put off by the fact this event was in Manchester – we do have the option of presenting in London if we have enough demand for places from our southern friends. Of course, as at all Google events, we finished off the event with some great food (including the famous Google Partners cupcakes!) and some Google goodies to take home. Here’s a gallery of photos from the event:
