The Client

LightSource LED Ltd provides a comprehensive range of domestic, commercial and industrial lighting products, exclusively distributed through an extensive national network of electrical wholesalers.

Their aim is to provide low cost, energy efficient lighting solutions at the highest quality.

 

The Brief

LightSource required a new, responsive website designed to showcase the business’ range of products.

The aim of the website is to generate new business enquiries, so having a strong call to action and strong tracking in place was key, including tracking of enquiries.
The website needed to be developed with digital marketing in mind –ensuring that the building blocks were in place for any future digital marketing campaigns. The site needed a search engine friendly structure combined with the ability to easily to set up new landing pages for targeted digital campaigns.

The Approach

As there was no previous website, we were able to design the site from the ground up. Working closely with the product manager, we created a design that would work well for the staff at LightSource, but most importantly for LightSource customers.

The site was built in WordPress so that it could be easily updated and new products added easily. Using custom fields in the content management system means that it is very simple to add a lot of data very quickly, saving time and resource.

The product pages have been designed to give customers all the information they could require, with extensive specifications and downloadable product documents easily accessible for the product pages.

UX was very important for this project, so the site is designed to make it extremely simple for users to find products they are looking for. This is aided by a search option which allows users to easily explore the site’s content.

The Results

LightSource LED Ltd were extremely happy with their new website. In the first 12 months, the site has received thousands of visits from their target audience, with high quality lead generation and a respectable, low bounce rate of 32%
